Privacy Policy
How VEO Consultancy collects, uses and protects your personal data under the Data Protection Act 2019.
This policy explains what personal data VEO Consultancy collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it. It applies to this website and to our advisory relationships.
Who we are
VEO Consultancy is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach our data protection contact at the email address on our contact page.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us — name, email address, phone number and preferred contact method.
- Enquiry details — the service you are interested in, your stated goals and anything else you choose to tell us.
- Advisory records, where you become a client — financial circumstances, holdings and the recommendations we have made.
- Technical data — pages visited and approximate location derived from your IP address, used only to keep the site working and secure.
Why we collect it
We process your data to respond to your enquiry, to provide advice you have asked for, to meet our record-keeping obligations, and to keep our systems secure. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become relationships are deleted after twenty-four months. Client advisory records are retained for seven years after the relationship ends, which is the period our regulatory and tax obligations require.
Your rights
- Access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — have inaccurate data corrected.
- Deletion — ask us to erase data we no longer have a lawful basis to keep.
- Objection — object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
- Complaint — raise a concern with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
To exercise any of these, contact us using the details on our contact page. We will respond within thirty days.
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies required for it to function and for us to understand aggregate traffic. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
PLACEHOLDER — this policy is a structurally complete draft. It must be reviewed by a qualified legal adviser, and the retention periods confirmed against current obligations, before this site goes live.
